First- that is one of the most versatile all 'round bikes ever made and has the added benefit of being one of the most comfortable right from the factory. Sorry, but I need to hate you for just a little while...
OK. I'm done now. Google Duane Ausherman. His website has just about EVERYTHING you'd ever want to know, after you get a good (expensive) repair manual. BMW parts are expensive, but fortuneatly this bike is so easy to work on, and after prope set-up, doesn't need much besides maintenace.
Also Google the "Airheads Club" or airhead wout the s- can't remember.
BTW- Duane's site has a story about an old fart going to a rally that will leave you hurt from laughing so hard. (maybe you should save it, though, until you get to know more Beemer people, so it will make more sense)
