Dumb question here. The petcock has two hose barbs coming out of it. Is one reserve, or are both the same to feed fuel evenly between carbs?

Both feed the carbs more or less evenly, one barb for the left two carbs, one barb for the right two carbs. Reserve is handled by where the fuel feeds from within the tank. Normal feeds through the top  of the standpipe and reserve feeds at the bottom.
