Cylinder removal in frame

Does anyone know if you are able to install the cylinder with the bottom end in the frame?  I pulled my motor to do a rebuild and was thinking it would be a lot easier to re install the motor bottom end and then the top end.  I know I read that the heads can be removed/installed with the engine still in the frame, but haven't seen anything about the cylinders.

I have not done this.  I think the answer is ...........Yes...........BUT.............If you leave the motor-mount bolts out and have 2 or more helpers............It will be a real challenge to get the rings compressed...........and much more likely to damage the paint and sealing-surfaces. Installing the cylinder on a bench or engine-stand allows you to keep everything more sanitary and assures the rings are not broken.

YEs, the post is in CB750A which can do a top end job with the bottom in frame, I think. OCICBW
Standard Ks and Fs cannot.
