78a revival questions
« on: September 26, 2015, 04:43:04 AM »
Bought a not running 78 and are trying to piece it together.

There are 2 tube connectors on the no2 carburetor. Are those both for fuel? The lower is now connected to the fuel tank the upper to the air filter which is not correct since it's the solenoid tube. So the solenoid tube should go to the bottom of the solenoid, but what then should be connected?

I should be more precise. There are 4 connectors, 1 at the top that goes to the solenoid, 2 in the middle, one at the bottom that is the carb overflow. I'm referring to the 2 in the middle of the body where the lower was connected to the fuel tank but what about the one above this one?

That's vent to the air, not connected to anything

Ah that goes over the airfilterbox bracket, thanks

Next question, according to the parts list there should be a breather box with this type, that is usually connected to the battery holder. Mine has none. I have one from an f2 that looks the same, where must it be mounted because my battery holder doesn't seem to have a connecting place?

Found the answer in the user manual I just received; it's located under the seat
