Help Identify these airbox boots? CB750?
« on: July 17, 2016, 11:39:59 AM »
Hey all - I am posting two pictures below.  One are the boots that were on the airbox that came with my bike when i bought it last year.  The second are the Honda OEM boots i bought recently to replace them.  there is obviously a decent difference between the two and I'm wondering if the airbox was possibly from a different model bike?  Mine is a 75 CB750.

Original -

New OEM-

Also When i replaced the carb boots and airbox boots with new OEM ones the airbox no longer fits properly on the bike - almost as if the carbs are too far back and up and the airbox doesnt quite line up as it did before.

Thanks!
Andy

Just to be sure you are aware these boots do have an angle on them so the carbs sit level. Once you have them installed in the air box you can rotate each boot to get the proper angle for the carbs. And each boot has to be adjusted the same or they will not line up on the carbs. The partial airbox pic looks correct for OEM.

The new ones you have are for the 77-78 CB750's

You need PN 17253-341-300
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

Wouldn't 77/78's be bigger diameter or is that only the F models?
