Barber 2015 changes to note

Campground C is no longer a campground but a parking lot instead. :(

Campground D and  and motor home passes near the pits are the only thing left, and now that I'm sure to be inside I encourage all you guys to get tickets because they're selling out fast as usual.

I just bought my camping ticket and I did see those changes.  Lot c was my favorite, I had been to all of them.  That motel outside the park is totally booked up too..

Yeah, we preferred campground C, too. Here's what the site says.

NEW for 2015: 

•All tickets will be in the form of wristbands. All wristbands will be shipped in September 2015.  Wristbands are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be replaced.
• Motorcycles can park onsite for free during all three days of the event. In an effort to decrease traffic around the Park, all other vehicles must purchase an onsite parking pass to park inside the Barber Motorsports Park on FRIDAY and SATURDAY only. All other spectators will receive complimentary offsite parking with a brief shuttle to the Park. All SUNDAY parking will be free onsite. All parking passes will be shipped in September 2015.
•All RV camping will be located in Upper Lot D. Click here to view track map.
•All tent camping will located in Lot B. Click here to view track map.
•Reminder: All ticket prices increase starting Friday, October 9th online and at the gate.

I plan on keeping a low profile this year and maybe travelling without the trailer.  Here's hoping I can get that little tiddler (CT90) running I got before then...

Camp B should be turned into sheep pasture  ;D

Not going this year, will do some hunting instead and if I miss the trip South, I will just sit in the shower in rain slicks, gloves and helmet.  ;D

My biggest complaint when I went a couple years ago was how much the traffic had increased. Maybe the new changes will help. Looks like they are phasing out the tent camping.

They still have tent camping, it's just all in one lot now.

From what I can remember all the camping sites got pretty full so if they are combining then my guess is that many won't get one?

We can find a place to squeeze anyone in.

Not sure why the wrist band thing changed, I think there were duplicate use of certain passes, like the ace corner.  ::) ;DThey ran out of certain colors of wrist bands.

Bump/ I'm thinking if finding a smoker to bring and sell a limited edition of racks of ribs  under the teamsmoke.com brand for a reasonable price. ($20)  so I can have a bit of extra cash at the swap shop. Anyone interested?

     Been there once, with my Dad and my Daughter. I am wanting to take my Wife and Family, but haven't made it yet. Kinda let time slip upon me, so I guess I will have to try for next year, making my Motel Reservation ASAP, to assure that we get accommodations, before the price goes up and they get booked up.

Probably a function of the economy with the tent area filled up quickly.  The fall weather does tend to be wetter, just the nature of the season.

I think we got a brinkman smoker lined up, I've got to cut up some hickory I have left and probably find some pecan if there isn't enough.

Pack and leave at sunrise tomorrow.

The latest I hear is that Campground C is where the paddock/ campers are going to overflow, so we might try to scam our way into "C" with some race people. Arriving early is key to that plan, is what I hear.  Practice begins tomorrow so I think there's probably already a crowd there. Of course,  No telling what will actually happen.
