Topic: 1975 750f seat trim?

I will be painting a friends metalflake orange 75 SS back to original.....what was the original material used for the orange stripe in the middle of the stainless lower seat trim?  Paint or decal?  Was it an exact match to the tail/tank color?

Decal and matching color. If you figure out a source, etc PLEASE share. I'd like to freshen up all my 3 colors.
