Others who know will chime in, but was that possibly a 1 piece oil ring originally? I thought I read somewhere some of the early bikes came with those. Total guess..

DH, those two pieces were not connected together, I am certain of that.

Yes, PeWe, found that too.

I am just wondering if it was original K0 or if it was replacement.
