550 cam chain adjuster seal(?)

Is there an o-ring that goes on the cam chain tensioner adjuster stud before installing the nut and washer?
There is a square cut o ring that is installed on the adjuster that looks like it would seal everything from the
inside of the engine. Not familiar with 550 engine so much. Thanks ...jim

What year? You can look on CMSNL.com and see exactly what's needed.

It's a o-ring alright, 5.6x1.9mm.
