Triple tree question
« on: October 17, 2015, 12:58:19 AM »
Can anyone confirm if a GL650 and a GL1000 top triple are interchangeable? I purchased a modified 75 550f with what I'm pretty sure is a GL650 (silverwing) front end with dual discs.

Looking to buy a billet top triple for a GL1000 and want to make sure it'll work.

Thanks

I don't know if they are interchangeable but I do offer a bunch of different designs with any offset/spread you want. I have a thread in the sale section. Feel free to PM me.

Here is a small bit of what you find here in the FAQ section under suspension and forks, you should look at the Ohio CafĂ© Racer website that is listed in that FAQ thread.  35 mm forks should be the same.  As for the rest, there may be wheel  and brake spacing issues to correct but maybe not.

I know there are other websites that give you head bearing sizes for looking at common swaps of the triple trees.
