Found this CB1100F
« on: June 24, 2016, 10:33:06 PM »
I have several SOHC bikes including a 1971 CB750K, a 1974 CB750K (restomod project), and a 1977 CB55O cafe racer.  I love these bikes but recently I have been getting into the DOHC Hondas and V4 Hondas.  I have bought and sold several 1980's CB750F and CB900F, but could never find the 1983 CB1100F.  That is until last month.  I found this rough but complete CB1100F just about 50 miles from my house.  These bikes are pretty hard to find so I think I'll restore this one and keep it for my collection.

These bikes are rare and not that plentiful. Think they made them for just the one  model year I think. But what I've read they will haul a$$ ;D Top speed about 140 and 1/4 mile times around 11 sec.

That would be a keeper if I found one. How many miles showing on the ticker ?  Does it run right now ?

They were sweet, always took one for a long test ride after doing maintenance.  Plus, I'd keep one if I ever saw one to buy.  Nice find...Larry

Forgot...  so how did you find it?  Word of mouth, or lucky with Craigslist?
