I'm a lucky guy.
« on: October 18, 2015, 08:57:08 PM »
My progressing malady has me walking with a cane now. I can usually get around on my own, but when I'm with my wife she always takes my free arm to lend support, both moral and physical.

Walking up the apron to do some shopping at Lowes, a guy about as old as me I guess, came up to me and said," you're a lucky guy to have your daughter to help you out".  A big grin.

Now whether he thinks she's my real daughter (I don't have one) or he thinks she's my wife and he was just commenting on young she looks, hard to say.

Either way, it was a feel good moment for both of us. She's 2 years older than me.   ;D   ;D

Ron, cool story!
I am sure your wife loved it and reminding her fondly once in a while will be good for her ego.

Sorry to hear your condition has worsened.

At least the cane isn't white, so you can still also appreciate your wife's good looks! ;D

Now all you need is a colonel sander's suit and the outfit would be complete.

It sucks that you can't ride anymore Ron but don't let anything keep you out of the garage. As you know....there is a great deal of satisfaction in working on mechanical things....especially SOHC mechanical things!
