Hey all,
First build on here, am almost done with mock up, will just bring it up to speed. Purchased the bike for 700 as a non runner , just really wanted to do a 350f. 20 mins of work and she fired right up, albeit not the beautiful idle one would want. Took her home and had her apart immediately. Rebuilt the top end of the motor in frame, including 1mm overbore, cleaned out the head, and got it all buttoned up.
On the front end I replaced everything but the lower forks, which I polished up. Front hub is from a cb350 twin. I wanted the drum up front for the aesthetics and simplicity. Plenty of stopping power for this lightweight when I'm done. Wheels have new spokes, rims, and tires. Carbs have been cleaned and bench synced, new rear suspension, under seat electronics tray welded in to hold the battery, and I have a multispark digital ignition ordered. Mounted a new seat, love the shape, hate the cover. I have to shave .5 inch off the rear of it to get the right rear wheel clearance, will also have it recovered in a nice leather at the same time.
To do:
Build new wiring harness
install ignition, coils, ricks R/R
make shortened cables.
go for a shakedown ride and make sure I'm happy with it.
From that point she's coming back apart to have the engine painted silver, frame blasted then powdercoated silver, tank painted silver, and seat re upholstered I think blue with silver stiching.
Will keep this updated as I go. The only thing not pictured is the addition of a tarozzi front fork brace,
