All tuned actually, I did that before I tore it down. I'm running a triple spark digital ignition too, so once I got the carbs all synced up, I went up 2 jet sizes for the main and pilot. Ran awesome!

Should be a matter of just adding fluids tomorrow and kicking it over!

Right now yes. Going to dynotune it likely next week, so we will see how close I got.

 Gimme a couple of hours, I am free today will post a video. Unfortunately, after a conversation with Hondaman, it is likely I am the Victim of poor machining.  Seems my barrels were bored too much, and I will need to get another set. I cannot even explain how annoyed I am over this.

Is this related to the smoking issue you mentioned earlier? What clearances were machined and which pistons did you use?

Yes, it is most likely the culprit. I had that motor apart twice now, and I've done enough fours that I know I did my part correctly. That's where I made the mistake. The machinist I used was the only guy local who had a boring machine small enough, and he can highly recommended. He was very familiar with these motors (or so I thought), and I never measured the clearance afterward, that is my fault. Mark thinks he likely went to something like .0020 rather than the .0008 it should be. The pistons are the cruzin image ones. There is a silver lining, I am going to source a new set of barrels, and I have a 3mm overbore kit sitting on a shelf. Since Mark's machinist seems to be "the guy" to get it right, I will send it to him.

There is nothing I hate more than doing something twice, especially when it's because of someone else's work. I will never assume again though, that's for sure.

If you do take the motor apart, perhaps measuring it before making a determination is the proper course of action?

Yes that will happen. I am going to compression test it today as well. But it was explained to me even if it reads high compression, it could just be a result of oil in the rings creating the seal, inflating the numbers. I was hoping I was just paranoid and the smoke would clear, perhaps just taking longer with the synthetic oil, but after 500 miles I find it unlikely that is true.

Is it using oil? If your piston/bore diameter is off and that is the cause of smoking, you'll be burning off oil to prove that.

I'd rather perform a leak down test to determine if/where I have issues, personally.

Just fired it back up. Smoke be damned it sounds awesome. Let me figure out how to get a video up. Honestly the smoke was very little, I am beginning to think maybe I am just paranoid and it's still from break in. I think after a compression test I may just ride it out a little more.

Thank you. It's a tarozzi fork brace, I think for a "79 cx500, I will find the link for u. When it came it was an ugly black finish, so I had it media blasted at powdercoated with the rest. If I had a mill I would have made some adjustments to it, but since I dont, it went on as is. They don't list a brace for a 350 front, so I had to take a bunch of measurements and once I was convinced it would work, we'll there ya go.

nice find! I was looking for one when I was considering running without the front fender. I need more bikes so I can use all of the ideas I have :) ... Next project will be convincing the wife.
