Its pretty cool. Again with the hardtail though.
Im betting that aircraft engine makes for a pretty damned smooth ride, though.

So I wonder what kind of engine has not been put into a motorcycle?

Don't pocket bikes have mini-engines like that one, Tom?

Certainly the latter. Correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the big plusses of a radial engine is its inherent smoothness, which is a function of many cylinders in that layout.

Over to you engine experts.

I remember that bike.  It was left over from a Late '80s design contest where the makers of an automated lettuce spinner (big in the '80s) realized too late that yuppies weren't going to spend thousands of dollars to dry wet lettuce (salads were just starting to explode on the scene in other guieses than iceberg).  Obviusly these guys had noo clue what to do with these engines.

That scoot has been in and around custom bike shows for quite some time.
It has a full air-ride kit, so it can sit in the weeds at shows to draw more attention to it.
From what I have heard, the owner/builder rides the hell outta it !

I think the bike was indeed credited to Jesse James in a Cycle World article about the Legends of The Motorcycle Concourse in Half Moon Bay, California.
