Nepali Holiday honor machinery
« on: October 21, 2015, 09:19:25 PM »
Today I learned that the Nepali Hindu holiday of Dashain (pronounced Da-Sign) will be in full swing over the next 15 days.

A small part of this holiday includes the blessing of ones machinery, like vehicles, generators, farm equipment, and our favorites, Motorcycles.

The machine to be blessed is adorned in a garland of marigolds and protective symbols are drawn on it with a vermillion paste.  Thought to bring safety to it's operator and aid in preventing technical snafus.

I don't know about you guys, But IIIIII LOVE IT!
