Bracket racing doesn't appeal to me either on a personal level. It serveks it's purpose in allowing bikes of far different ages and performance levels to compete head to head on a reasonably even basis. That helps people bring the vintage bikes out there to be seen and appreciated.
Vintage road racing has enjoyed far more popularity, allowing heads up classes in different age groups, displacements, levels of modification, etc. That is fantastic.
I wish there were more events where vintage drag bikes could be amongst their "own kind" and not being something of a side show for mainstream modern stuff events. The modern stuff just doesn't interest me.
Going to Mosport was a blast with all the vintage race bikes there. All the distinct sights and sounds of vintage Hondas, Yamahas, Nortons, Triumphs, etc, etc. Loved it
