cb500 clutch swap?

does anyone out there know if a clutch from a '74  550 will fit on a '73 5oo?

Nope,thats a horse of a different color. The clutch of the 550 is a totally different design.

I recently bought the book "CB500/550 Performance Portfolio" on eBay. It has a collection of US and UK road tests and articles from bike mags up to 1977.

There's an article there about swapping out 500 clutch plates from a CB450 to cure the 500 clutch problems.
