Brat style seat
« on: October 25, 2015, 05:50:30 pm »
Hey guys I am looking to build a brat style seat. our first attempt we used a piece of wood that was way to thick the foam was comfy but also looked way to thick. My grandpa is anti thin seat (I dont blame him you totally sacrifice comfort for style) but I am still wanting to try and make this thing work. I have literately seen people use a skate board deck. Does anyone have advice for making a seat like the one below.

Thanks

A member here, harisuluv, sells a seat that is very similar to that and is of outstanding quality.

Use 3/16" aluminum sheet. You can cut it, you can heat and bend it, and it is rather inexpensive. Also, it will not rot or rust.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
