Quicker to red line, pass it and stay there without worries thanks to Ultra crank with Carillos :)
I'll try that next season.

You did George except bought the rods from Jay and installed them here. The part is for an overseas customer. ;)

Mike,

I know you prefer old RC golden rods to anything else though.  :P .... ::)

The crank-rod setup look almost too good to hide between the crank cases! :)

Funny, I have got a reason to time my cam a little bit later for more fun after 9000rpms!
1-2 degrees later might do just a little.

Yes, I understood I must have one since I got a tachometer again and saw the needle passing the red very often. I was waiting for a rod failure.
The rod in 4:th got its small end hitting the case when assemble the engine 30 years ago. I had to leave it for a hone to be able to fit the piston pin. I have since then had thoughts about that when driving fast.  Piece in mind and quicker responce.

I'll upgrade some when open cases again.

I have those thoughts too.... :) It will cost some...
How my 836 pistons and bores will look when taking it apart will help my decision.. Mikes block with 72mm pistons would be great!

I'll send a low mile primary drive to Germany for rubber upgrade. I have reinforced primary chains since before so the engine is ready for more. :)
