Electric Gear, Alternator Output, etc.
« on: October 28, 2015, 07:33:55 PM »
Is there an alternator upgrade available for SOHC4's that will enable them to power modern heated riding gear without killing the battery? Is a modified voltage regulator needed too?

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

The 750A has about 20% increased output. The field coil windings and stator windings are different as well as the solid state regulator. I don't know that there is any real info about trying an upgrade using these parts. There are a few double wires and thus different connectors but is that a real issue considering connectors are available?!
