fuel hose p/n question
« on: October 28, 2015, 02:47:54 PM »
Hi everyone
Sometime ago I came across a post where a member had written that the 5,5mm fuel hose is still available from Honda in 1-metre lengths and he gave a Honda part number. In fact I think he listed three different part numbers for three different hose diameters and one of them was for the 5,5mm diameter variety.
Is that correct or am I dreaming? And if I'm not dreaming could one of you point me in the correct direction? I've used the search function but came up empty-handed.

regards
Thomas

A hint: if you get the hose from your local Honda shop, make sure it has a dull red stripe on the side of the hose, along its length. This is the mark for "ethanol-impervious" hose.

I recently got a bunch of Mercedes hose listed as "ethanol resistant", which means it does not become inflexible, but it has proven to shrink, thus making it very hard to remove after a while (even though it is still very soft and flexible, a year later). The red-striped stuff I got from Honda (and others, like Sudco) does not shrink.
