How the hell are supposed to choose between these beautiful bikes?  This is a tough one.

There are absolutely no bad choices here and I have followed several of the projects almost since I joined the board. Dash was particularly tempting because of all the reliable miles he has logged carrying Mooshie on the Relay Rally's.

But SohRon got my vote because of his incredibly detailed documentation of the process. So incredible that I have been assembling it into a Word doc so that I can use it as an assembly manual for my own 550 if I ever manage to get back to it.

Beautiful machines, every one a credit to their builders.  The choice would have been tough, except there is one that is used extensively for a bike's highest purpose (traveling), so it got my vote.

Thank you for the mention BankerDanny--Dash and I are incredibly proud simply to be counted among this amazing field of SOHC's.  We plan on logging many more thousands of miles (in and outside of the relays!).  I got Dash (as my first motorcycle) with 22,000 miles on the odometer in December 2009 and have since put much more than that on him  8).

It's a pretty amazing selection of bikes.  Everything from 2 concourse restorations, to some slight restomods, to a road-king, to a full-custom/high-performance cafe.  All making for a hard choice to vote.

Kudos to all.

Wow, what an amazing showdown of builds.  Congrats to all!

My dream is to own a 750, now all those great 550 builds have made me realize I will need one of them too, in between my 350F and a 750.  With the incredible documentation of the work - Soho /Ron your build thread inspired me to get off my backside and get to it.  You could publish a book! (you kinda did) thanks.

Really tough decision, in the end I voted for the bike that I want in my garage the most, and has defined what will be my pursuit in the future, the very model, year and colour - Rafi - thanks man!

My prediction is that this will be a close one.

I agree, Don.
All of these bikes are incredible examples that any of us would be proud to own.

However, to me there are 2 concourse-level restorations in there....SOHRon's and Rafi's (edwardmorris).  Picking one over the other of those would be like choosing which of my two sons I love the most....almost impossible to do.

Regardless of who wins, these bikes are phenomenal.  Well done gentlemen (and gentlelady  :D )!

It's actually coming up after these 2, Don.  Probably going to buy an old Interceptor for him because that's the style he likes (lots of body moulding and plastic, etc).  So there!  :-X

Been thinking about this for a few days now.  Obviously, they are all very nice bikes.

But there is one in particular that I would most want to be in my garage and that made it a simple choice.

Good luck to all.
