Wow, thanks for the love and kind words guys, I really appreciate it. It really is an honor to stand alongside such great works of art and labor of love. It blows me away each time I look at the abandoned pile of crap that these builds had started out, and then ended up being significantly better than when they originally rolled out of the factory doors. I'm really grateful for all who take the time to patiently document their build progress and issues they run into, as no two builds ever seem to work our the same! Thank you, each and every one of the 179 who took the time to recognize our efforts and voted.

While I absolutely admire the level of detail and patient documentation of SohRon's build, I voted for Tige's K1 GT as I'm a 750 guy and Tige's builds were the first thing I got hooked on to (among a few others) when I first joined. Mine simply had to be just as good :)

It is overwhelming how much love there is for my K2 on these forums. Its been a blast building it, its been a blast riding it. Here is a quick link to all who helped me with the bike, couldn't have done it without them, these are some people you simply must know ;)

Congrats everybody, especially Rafi! Your builds are inspiring!

Also, SohRon.... When will I be able to buy your 550 book from Barnes & Noble? Your build and documentation is truly a masterpiece and bestseller in my opinion. I find myself returning to your thread all the time to see what my bike would have looked like better than straight from the factory. Amazing!

Love the hardware, Frankenstuff!

Where do I sign up for the 2016 BOTY calendar?

First of all, congrats to all the contestants for even being here but an even bigger congrats to Edward Rafi Morris for pulling off such a walk away win.
I was looking through some of his posts in his build thread and came across a few post of praise that really stood out and caught my eye.
Here I have copy and pasted a quote from my team mate Bill Benton and the reply from Marc Hondaman.

And Rafi, you have moved the bar way higher than it was! K, ;D

Boy, that's no lie! I can't turn on my computer in the garage, or my bike might slap me....

NO. FRIGGIN. WAYYY!  This looks like one of the trophies many of my childhood heroes used to win on Great Biker Build Off! Please tell me you guys aren't messing with me, that would be one cruel joke ;D. Damn I love my SOHC family! If its real, it belongs to the SOHC family and I'd like for it to be dedicated to our lost brother SOHC Digger/Robert Haag.

Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. I'm at a loss of words to truly express how awesome it has been being a part of this community.

Where did you get the idea Stev-o? LOVE that its all SOHC bits!

I've seen paperweights repurposed from old bike parts and thought they look pretty cool, so why not make a trophy out of some SOHC bits?!

I PM'd Don and Joe and they both thought it was a great idea. I filled a box up from my parts stash at the Batcave and shipped it to Joe and let him do his thing - he gets all the design/build credit.

I knew he was working on it but was surprised as you when he posted a pic of it!
Thanks again Joe, your talents never cease to amaze me.

Thanks for the generosity especially Joe in fabricating a memorable keepsake of the win. It's going to a VERY worthy bike!

The SURPRISE made it all the sweeter.
