H/D cam chain, and engine will only turn in normal direction!

Reminds me about when I removed the head and I got the explanation why cam chain was so tight.

Certainly stops the possibility that the springs, that bust all to hell, from falling out in the motor. Mike and I were discussing doing the very same thing to Samauto last night. Not sure if that damper is necessary since we have a torque convertor (fluid dampening?) but Honda put them there for some reason. Pour design IMHO since there is plenty of room for a real damper on the primary shaft. Probably OK for a drag racer.

POP'S, I'm trying. Got to get kmb69 to machine the clutch end plate, the thickest one from Honda too thick, mine too thin! Email sent already. You need .020-.031 clearance between end plate metal and first friction plate. Got none with the thick plate number 6, comes with a 3. Can't find a 4 or 5 ( no number). It will happen. ......when?.....asap!

Which bike, crank for the Cobra motor, head for Purple Rain, case bolts and clutch end plate for the auto and head for it, two .050 copper Cometic headgaskets, one for Cobra, one for 1080 Auto. Oh and swingarm for Calendar Girl, wheels etc, a couple hours work ought to do it! SMH, Lol, Bill

Which bike was just on the dyno? How about a proper chart, rather than a fuzzy picture of a tach at 10.2K RPM?
