The longer arm, shocks and that sticky rear tire should now give Bill a lot more confidence in getting the rpms up enough to properly launch the bike. If he can figure out the sweet spot the engine likes, I'd predict his 60's should be in the high 1.50 range, lowering his ET and additional 3 tenths all g with the one tenth he dropped just from the weight loss. 10.60's is my prediction.

What's that I see in the front center of the head? Why, is it a 'normal' un-anodized hex head stainless bolt? Can't be!! Not on a Billy Bling creation. LOL 3:45am will do weird #$%* to a man..........

Looking good Billy. Hope you get some sleep before Thursday!!

What's your final displacement? 327 too I'd assume?? This is THE one you've always wanted to do.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Jerry,

As to his displacement, I see you're as confused as the rest of us. Lol. All he needs is a running engine right now if he wants to make rounds. Big or small, that "W" on the scoreboard could care less how it got there. Lets hope Bill see's plenty of those in his lane over the course of the weekend.

Keep it going Bill. We've got confidence in you!!!

FRANK IN 10'S : With your old worn out SOHC 750 running 10.42 in SEL and ST/ET class in 2015 I would think that Bill MWS bike would be a Super Gas bike running 9.90's with all those high dollar [ NEW ] parts and rods ,head, swing arm, tire and now a REV LIMITER that can only be the fastest SOHC 750 at this big show. I feel he can set a new record in SEL and get a nice plaque like you got in 2015 when you set the bar for this type bike. BLINGSTER might be the show with a good light .01 - .05

Don't y'all get the cart in front of the horse!  But,  POP'S,  I sure hope you right on this one! Lol. I will say there is potential and one record I'd like to beat is TV's winning time from 1975 Pro Stock season,  9.74 @ 137.19! That would be cool in my book!  But that would be down the road, he did it with 1162cc stroker, big picture,  let's go have fun , be safe and make new friends!  Engine is together cept tranny linkage and clutch and dyno covers, we're degreed in and got .095 and .105 piston to valve clearance!  That .050 intakes cost me last time!  So much still to do, so I'm off to pull 3 wheels and get tires swapped and all 3 race balanced,  Bill

"I'll talk with the tech inspector at Valdosta to reconfirm that line locks are legal in Street ET."

Kevin was the Valdosta tech inspector at the April Cup event and the previous two Cup events there last season. He stated that there would be no problem for any Street ET racer to use a line lock to hold the bike on the starting line.

Bill told me that he had talked with Jay Reagan on the phone and found out the same answer that Kevin had previously given to me. At any Cup event line locks are legal in Street ET.

When ever you plan to build a bike for racing, check the sanctioning body's rules first. Don't assume.

That's good news for you Jon. Maybe now you won't have to worry so much about redlighting.
