I should have been clearer with my comment, I was comparing the auto head to the later K (75-78) and 75-76F heads and not the earlier heads. In general for performance builds I like the later heads.

The 75/76 K did NOT use the -392 head. That evolved from the 75/76 F to the 77/78 K engine.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

That's why I said what I did. All the models you cite, including the A's, should be the same 392 casting. I am curious if Honda did any EXTRA prepping on the A heads if they flow noticeably better. I think Honda actually claimed 69HP at lower RPMs for the A's.

Still curious if you had a chance to flow a Sandcast head?

That is correct. And according to the parts book, 76-8A's.

Seriously jealous, my friend.  That looks awesome!

Billy,

OK so what am I looking at?  It's an auto engine, the one out of the yellow Morgan Auto?  What's the bracket for?  Wasn't it a turbo motor?  Looks like an idler pulley shaft.  Blower idler?  I can't keep up....
