Hey Trey got a set of them 2 foot long wheelie BARS, now that BRUSO guy is a no-bar bike ........
FRANK in the 10-9-8: I'm proud that you use a bottle warmer for safety, as my boyz made me use a torch for the 900.
Bruso ran with no bars early on. Was 1974 champ that way. The short lived (less than a full season in 1975 only) Byron Hines built Pro Stock cb750 (1162) bike that Terry Vance ran had a short set of wheelie bars from the get go. They sold them through the RC catalog as well. I have a factory swing arm with a set of the original pro stock type triangular wheelie bar brackets welded on.
The wheelie bars themselves were fairly unique. If anyone has a set, or knows where some are, I'd like to know about it.
Mike,
120 RWHP N/A, assuming non methanol, yup. Tall order I'd say. I imagine the Byron Hines all out effort stroker big block, welded up head monster that Gary Pena ran 9 flat (N/A) with very little development time might have been in the neighborhood, but that's not exactly a typical RC type big bore motor built in someones garage. Byron used a mountain of experience he has gained over the years on that motor. Lots of flow testing, dyno time, high dollar modifications.
The Cycle X drag motor seems to be a similar type effort.
