Ridge Reamer did the bore, decked the head and cut the valve seats, Hondaman presided over the matter and reassembled the head for me.

Anyone know of a place that does small batches of zinc plating?  I've got a handful of screws etc that need a refresh that I can't find replacements for anywhere..

Larry if you strike out locally drop them in a box to me. My local guy does good work if I prep it well with the vapor blaster prior, perfectly serviceable for a SOHC. A small batch is something silly like $20, and it's a 10 minute ride to drop them off along with a prepaid box back to you, no big thing. Happy to do that for you.

Finally something to talk about!  After a long break from the action Cliff Meyer worked up some more of his magic and delivered this beauty today:


I won't be able to play with it until this weekend but at least I got to check it out and hold it up against the bike.  My new welder gets here Thursday!

Nice box! Its a great "shop" unit. Not too portable, but really welds well. I am partial to the Dynasty series, but they're pricey and then some. If my current unit ever dies, I'll be replacing it with a 280DX but the darn thing keeps kicking  >:(

Looking great! make sure you get the shock mounting points in the correct spot (if you want to run stock springs.

I built the subframe how I wanted it to 'look' but it ended up not working with stock springs and I scrapped the mounting plates and dual springs and went with a monoshock   :P

Hoping to get quite a few good years out of it.  Couldn't justify or afford anything more at the moment!  I was pretty much set on a Diversion 180, but this will let me grow a lot more as I get better I think.  Have you ever dealt with Matheson for gas and wire?  Closest place to me and I need a bottle and some filler to start with.

Thanks, although I can't really take any credit for the hoop and cowl! Lol!

Not planning on running the stock shocks, but I'll certainly be as careful as possible measuring and replicating the stock mounting locations.

Use ScotchBrite, brush in a single direction, cover with Flood Penetrol. Run it that way for a while. You can always paint it later.
