Most important is correct o-rings. Even the 4 OEM o-rings for the cam towers can be too small. Check the stickout over the head. O-ring must be thicker to provide sealing pretension.
Rubber nickels under the towers too... seal with not hardening. All O-rings sealing the oil trasnport from where the oil lines are connected, oil pump and so on.
I have never had a bad gasket. Maybe valve cover gasket that is like thick paper. The greenish slick ones are better. Yamiya, NP (Noboru) are good.
I could not use CycleX MLS when the rivets keeping the sheets together were too thick and where located between the mating surfaces, head cylinder block.
Vesrah is OEM vendor for many parts to the old CB, right?
MLS must have really flat and smooth surfaces, right?
