Don't crash!

I don't care what anyone says this is nuts. Armco, concrete, no protection anywhere. WTF?

it is an odd race , i have been twice . it used to be much worse than that at least the armco keeps most of the children and chickens off the track !

Brent,

Did I mention how much appreciation I have for the volunteer effort put into the plastic container barrier bags in VRRA?
That video make me pucker up, and not in the 1st base kind of way. :o

George it makes me pucker too!

I hope never to "use" the bottle bags but without a doubt there will soon be plenty of bags to protect riders. Air fence is bloody expensive & this is hopefully a good option.

Anyone else notice the "Sparkasse" logo on his butt?  ;D

I looked it up and apparently, Sparkasse Chemnitz is a bank but I just thought that Sparkasse was too totally appropriate there.

I knew Sparkasse was a bank...

I didn't.  My first thought was that it was a result of a really low lean in a corner.  ::)

That is just plain scary.  I'm not sure if it is more or less scary than the IOM, but that guy has big titanium bullocks.

More crazy than scary. In the end it's up to riders to decide on their own safety. Road courses...man I don't get it. Bad things happen on a closed circuit with air fence and safety measures everywhere. I know it's a personal decision and all.... you won't see me there.

believe me its much less scary than the iom .
have not been for ages but it was always a great laugh , ironically it was organised by mike trimby who was the gp riders safety rep
it was run at the end of the season and paid well , it was mostly drinking with a bit of racing thrown in . lots of decent riders went though schwantz won it in the late 80's
because you are so close to the armco if you get it wrong you end up in the middle of the track trying to dodge following bikes !  oh and you slide for ever
