Turn out the lights the party is over
« on: November 15, 2015, 06:59:09 AM »
Don't know if any of you keep up with MMA fighting lately, but all the hype, media attention ete,etc has been about the female champ Ronda Rousey. She is good, but building her up like she is some type of superwoman, she can't be beat, faster than a speeding bullet ;D All her 12 other fights she had destroyed all her challengers in the 1st round. Well until last night that was true I guess. Had her even mouthing off to Floyd Mayweather and challenging him to a fight. Give me a break. Like my dad always told me- don't matter how big and bad you think you are their is always somebody just a little bigger and badder. And in last night's fight the bigger and badder just happened to be a Holly Holm.

I guess you will have to update your avatar to Holly Holm?  One women you don't want to say no to when she ask you out on a date.

Kyle, even if you didn't know who she was, would you even consider saying no? I sure wouldn't! ;D

I don't really keep up with it but was very surprised to hear that Ronda lost.
Ever seen her in "street clothes"? She is pretty hot.

Eh, you saw the result of her going against someone that has actual footwork and can actually throw punching combos together and kick to boot.
The problem with women's MMA is it at the point way back when it all (MMA) started- a bunch of different styles to see who the toughest was.
Since then men's MMA has evolved a lot and women's is still in its infancy- give it some time and you will see Rousey is pretty sloppy technically speaking. She was just able to be extremely aggressive and use her strength and judo against some cans and finally met some competition that is anything but.

She may be sloppy, and cocky... but she's no boxer. That's why she lost that fight. She can handle others with brute force.
