CB400F 76
« on: November 30, 2015, 03:41:51 PM »
Hi guys

The rocker cover gasket on my 400F is leaking on the rhs and lhs front. Motor work was done by a PO. I don't know if he replaced the rubber gasket or reused the old one.
I have checked to see if the bolts have been torqued down and yes they have

I have a new gasket but would like to know if something like Hondabond should also be used. I have yamabond which I think is the same

Cheers
Chris

i have a tip, don't look at anything while the top is open. just put the packing in looking out of one eye only. i went in for a simple project like yours and i'm still digging. lots of worms, they'd of been ok if i had just buried them.

chrisbc55 did you get a chance to change the packing or whatever the rocker cover oring is called. If so how'd it turn out?
