Any opinions on a 4-1 exhaust?

MAC makes great headers and exhaust. I ran this combo on my 550 for years and it sounded goooooooood ;)
4into1.com sells it, http://4into1.com/mac-4into1-chrome-megaphone-exhaust-system-honda-cb500-cb550/
I'm pretty sure dimecitycycles.com sells the headers as well and in black 8)
+1. I had that system on my 550.  Lots of folks bag on MAC pretty hard around here and I am not really sure why...does have kinda of a nasally annoying sound unless you get the race baffle though...

I never found the MAC exhaust to be this this way. I found it to be a nice, tight sound. But, you know...whatevs...everyones taste is different ::)

What size tires are you running? And what tires do you like. No arguments or this is better than that. Just curioua what you guys like. I run Avon am26s on my 750 and like them. But they dont offer factory size for the rear on a 550.

BT 45 on the 550 AND 360 - tho I'm curious about the Dunlop K 70's.  Never had luck w/Dunlops on cars, never tried 'em on a bike.

It's the IRC GS11, has a nice vintage tread pattern.

Put them on my 550F about a month ago, only about a 100 miles on them but I like them so far.

Made in Japan and reasonably priced too...

things are cheaper in Missouri apparently. That bike as it sat, as a runner with clean title,  would have sold for 800- $1000 in LA
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

It was a steal even for around here. Got lucky the guy was trying to make room in his garage for the 70 Nova he just bought.

Any opinions on a 4-1 exhaust?

Ripple Rock Racers makes a nice stainless system, too. I just got one for my 650 motor. Great guys to deal with, great price (they're in Canada so the exchange rate is great) but you might have just missed the 20% off site wide discount they had going.

Do you have a video or sound clip. I would love to hear this system?

No I don't. It's funny, in talking with Kemp up there I was asking for a sound clip too. They don't have one...maybe a 750 sound clip but I never heard it. I said when I get my motor assembled I'd make a good one and put it on YouTube. But that won't be until spring at the earliest.

Ask FunJimmy to see if he can provide one. He has the Hindle 4-2 exhaust and he took the time to polish his up real nice. Cafe Interceptor thread of his has photos of the polished and unpolished exhaust if I recall correctly.  It is bike porn worthy material.
