1974 Honda CB350F K&L Supply Carb Rebuild Kit Input
« on: April 17, 2016, 11:37:06 AM »
Hey everyone i'm planning on rebuilding my carbs and currently trying to decide on a Rebuild Kit was wondering what people had to say about the K&L Rebuild kit only one I found so far that is made in Japan. Or if you have any suggestion to what kit or where I should by them from? Its for  1974 Honda CB350F motorcycle. Reason I want to go with a rebuild kit because I bought the motorcycle with the carbs completely disassembled and missing one air screw and the spring and 2 of the float needles are bad as in the go down and take ages to come back up, so decided that probable a carb rebuild kit would be the best route.

Thanks

The float valves work OK, but don't use the needle jets, if they come in the kit. They are not properly tapered for these bikes. The jets might not be the same size as your OEM ones, so start first with the OEM parts, there.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

You'll be fine buying aftermarket 'kit' parts here, but make note that the internal spring and overall length of float needles will be different from OEM, so, you'll need to verify the fuel level using the clear tube method, and adjust accordingly.  The "book" 21mm float height will only be a good starting point.
Reuse all your original Keihin jets, and slide needles.  Aftermarket quality really falls off here.
