500 carb o rings help

Just rebuilding my carbs and bought a replacement o ring set but  I am having difficulty getting them to go in

i have them on the main jet and the float valve bodies but cant get the assembled bodies and rings to go in their holes. Tried wd40 and then a bit of soap but just wont push in .

Any tips?

I used some Super Lube (got it from the o ring store) when rebuilding the carbs on my 500. They were tight but did pop in.

Had o rings mixed up popped in sweet using the right ones in the right places!!!!!
