January 2007 Winner
as the contest rules state:
3.   a nomination must be made, seconded and accepted within the allotted time-frame (if you do not accept a seconded nomination by the 15th of the month, you/your bike will not be included in the contest for SOHC4 of the month)

No less of a bike my friend.  it put up a good fight against the million dollar machine so we know it's worth it!

WHAT THE????? I just got in on this and I still don't know what happened or why, but I AIN'T KNOCKING IT!!! I gotta go back and play catch up! In any case,

            CONGRATULATIONS JIM!!

Definitely recognition well deserved!! 8) ;)

                                                         Later on, Bill :) ;)

Update: Now I see what happened and I can't believe the Jim is the only one who accepted the nomination. Irregardless, like mk, heffay and burma says, the bike is a piece of work. :) ;)

So when can Bill and I expect those pay offs Jim?  J/K, you deserve this with all the work you've put in.  I've said it before, if my 750 rebuild looks 1/2 as nice as your 400, I'll be happy.

Congrats Aptech! Beeyootiful bike!  ;D

Has anyone suggested some kind of "BOTM Winner" badge to put on the winner's avatar or signature? I think it would be cool, plus it would help in identifying winners without having to dig through the old posts. A "BOTM Nominee" badge would be nice too.  8)

bikes are nominated the preceding month... since aptech was the only one who accepted the nomination by the 15th there was no need for a poll and he won by default.  normally the contest doesn't end until the last day of the month then the bike is the bike of the month for the following month.

goes to show that we should all be checking these threads... i think there were actually 4 bikes that were nominated.

honestly, i like the way the rule worked out.  keeps uninterested people from winning.
