1974 CB750 SOHC Bobber wiring
« on: November 22, 2015, 09:22:14 AM »

What's up, folks? I've been a long time reader (huge thank you to all of the guys posting the helpful info) but this is my first post. I apologize if I'm reposting something here but I have a wiring question. I'm looking to completely re-wire this bike. I'm only using the headlight and brake light so I would like to keep the wiring as simple and clean as possible. I've posted before and after pictures. So far so good. All I need to do now is wire her up and she'll be able to breathe again. If there's any advice you guys might have for me as far as tackling this wiring task (first time builder) it'd be MUCH appreciated. Also, anybody know of any resources to show me how to go about setting the points? Never done it before and I want to be able to say I did everything myself. Thanks again in advance. I hope I'm not polluting the forum with a re-post!

Very good wording diagram but no fuses.  I like to run a relay to feed the fuse block to take load off the switch

Thanks for the input, fellas. I haven't messed with it yet because of work but I should have time tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how I make out.

Look again. Theres a 30a MAIN from the KEY switch.  ???
Ya I missed that I like to have 1 fuse for ignition 1 for brake, turn and horn and one more for headlights, running and dash then it is all trunked through a 30a relay in to the fuse block just don't have the feeld coil straight to battery that is a bad move
