I once watched one international match of union thankfully I forget who was playing and god it was boring. In one half the ball was in play for just over 11mins in total. The rest of the time the teams were just strolling about the field from one throw in to another or to a scrum.... Now remember Tonga as one of the teams.  I will say the scrums in league are a joke and they should go back proper scrums and make the hookers earn there pay or find another way of restating the game.
Hookers should always earn their pay.

Agreed, i remember watching a Union match before the rule changes to speed the game up, all South Africa did every time they got the ball was kick it, it was like watching slow motion tennis...    Scrums in league are a joke but they give the teams a rest from the pace of the game.
