Reupholstering Seat

Anyone reupholstered a seat? I found this thread from 2012
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=107883.0
and may give it a try. I attempted to melt a 3/4" sheet of HDPE today to make a custom seat pan and it was impossible to bend even after baking it to 355 and then using a heat gun. So I am leaning towards redoing the stock seat and trimming down the foam.

Not familiar with HDPE but use ABS, which is a plastic that can be easily thermoformed.

Where should I get new seat foam? My old foam was eaten by mice so it was too gross to shape.
