do your tags rally just say "old" on them.  that is so unceremonious.  according to maryland my bike is "historic"  i dont know if i woudl have paid the fees to get a plate that just says "old"  why not just "beater" or cut right to the chase "p.o.s."  that one would be good for my 83 el camino that runs on hope and ignorance and truthfully does not deserve the "historic" emblazoned on its plates.  cute kid, keep him away from your bike.

Klark it doesn't say Old. (I had to really look to see what you were talking about - we call them numberplates.) It says Qld - for Queensland - the name of the State.

I agree that it does look like "old".  Unfortunately I had to lower the resolution to post it on the site.
Yes we do get "vintage" plates (which also say QLD) once the vehicle reaches 30 years old but there are some restrictions in use (ceremonial, parades. club rides. charitable events, servicing and testing, family events ) so maybe not appropriate for a bike you just want to ride. I will be putting my 350 Four on vintage plates when we finally get it together.
