Exhausts (or Mufflers to my colonial chums)
« on: December 09, 2015, 06:19:36 AM »
My bike has a pair of MAC 2 to 1 pipes that are a bit rusty in places.

It looks like the baffles are held in by a single small tack weld just inside the end of the pipes.

I was thinking about grinding this off and seeing if I can then pull out the baffles and getting them rechromed. Does anyone have any experience of these MAC pipes and know if this will work?

Alternatively it looks like (not holding my breath) CMSNL in Holland MAY still do an after market set of 4 pipes for Euro 600. If they do I might make the investment. If they do I will be amazed as I thought these were just no longer available anywhere.

I do not think they have a set for 600 E.   Is that for 1?!

Knew it was too good to be true  >:( >:( >:(

The Euro 600 is just for one exhaust (no 4) I guess they just have some old after market stock left of just this pipe.

Back to plan A then rechroming the MAC pipes if I can

Holy Moly! 2400 Euros for a new exhaust system?!?!! That's more than most CB550Ks are worth.
