CB550 Cylinder Base O-rings
« on: December 07, 2015, 06:18:42 PM »
Hey guys,

Been looking around, can't seem to find the question anywhere, maybe I'm just simple.

I'm trying to seat the 4 O-rings that go on the base of the cylinders into their grooves. However, every time I attempt this, they bunch up and I'm continually left with extra.
Anyone have any tips/trips to get them in the groove? Apart from machining a piece to slip over the sleeves and push down.
Is it okay to lube them up with a bit of oil to help slip them in?

Thanks,

Reilly

I would always oil them, John

Overthinking it?Just lube with oil and push in using credit card? The higher balance CC may be the better, just cut it up after you're done so your wallet don't get all oily

Hahaha, I'm fortunate enough not to have a balance on any cards at the moment. But yea, I was way over thinking it. They popped in by hand with some oil. I was thinking oil something that is supposed to be preventing oil leaks would be bad, I don't know. It's my first time haha
