Market value of a 1976 CB750 in excellent condition ???
« on: May 28, 2005, 05:54:19 AM »
I would like others opinion on the market value of a 1976 CB750 (K6) that is in excellent condition.  The bike has 10,900 miles.  It has a new Michelin rear tire and will soon have a new front.  The paint is in excellent shape...no rust...all parts are original.

The only problem I have is that if I leave the fuel on, it will dribble after a few hours...I suspect (hope) that the carbs simply need to removed/cleaned/new gaskets/etc. and that would solve the problem.

I see really nice bikes on eBay occassionally going for north of $3,000.  Of course I don't know how many of these deals actually close.

And...the reason I'm asking is that I need to sell my CB.  I seldom ride it.  And I need the money.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I asked this question one time and the answer was this question.  How much will someone pay for a bike in my area at this time for a bike that looks like this compaired to the bikes that are for sale at this time in this town.   Your question is asked often and every member will give a differt price.  Me, here where I live, with my talants, no more than 500.00.   Someone else ?????? who knows.  You own an antique motorcycle there is no blue book.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

A bad one goes for $600.  One that runs in decent shape for about $1000-$1200.  A real nice bike in great shape could maybe fetch $2500-$3000.  However, i suggest getting really good pictures (10-14) and putting it on ebay.  I think thats where you will have the best shot of selling it.  These are my best guess, considering i looked at ebay for about 4 months before i bought my bike on ebay.

hope it helps

Ship it to UK and you'll get £2500 to £3000 in "excellent" condition - but that means showroom!

Work that out in $, deduct shipping and we could make a really cool business out of it!

Thanks for the input.

I would think eBay is the best forum for selling the bike...I'll probably try that in the next few weeks.

I just had my 1976 cb750 for sale on ebay, and the highest offer I had was $315!! bunch of cheap ??? whatevers. I have more into it than that. So if I paint it, polish it some more and merely ship it to England I can get 2000-3000pounds? Hard to believe. It would cost $900+US to ship to England, non? Oh well.....still upset it didn't sell. What can you do? If you can get $1,000 in the US it would be easier than shipping it to England.
