New kid on the block here (kid being loosely defined). I rode bikes back when i was in college in north Georgia.  Had a couple of BSAs and got tired of parts falling off so i went out and bought me a new cb750k1.  Kinda dates me dont it? I loved it! Smokey mountain weekend rides I will never forget.
Eventually moved to Houston and got busy. No more time, no more Smokey mountains. Sold the bike and haven't ridden one since. Until last month.
I live in the country now and have some nice rural farm roads here. Pretty hilly. And i like to camp, if you call an RV camping (no sleeping on the ground anymore for this "kid"). Bought a Yamaha TW200 to take with me on RV trips, and it is great on the trails. Not much of a road bike though.
So what road bike would I want to ride but one like my old cb750? Couldn't find a new one though (although the cb1100 did tempt me).  To my surprise found a 1971 k1 with 33K miles on it on ebay and couldn't resist it. Now I'm the proud owner of the pictured puppy. :) YeeeeHaaa!
It runs pretty nice but I think I need to go through the carbs.  Then we'll see what else it needs. The previous owner did a nice job of restoration externally, but not sure about the mechanicals.
I'm very glad to find this forum as I will need help! I never had to work on my first one.  Drove it for 6 years and all i had to do was adjust the chain, change oil, and put gas in it.

Welcome from Lake Travis.  Bike looks great.

If bike is not running 100% I suggest rebuilding the carbs [dont use aftermarket brass!] and the 3000 mile tuneup as Honda recommends.
These motors can go 100K miles or more without a rebuild with proper maintenance, so I doubt you need internal work.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm out in the boonies about 25 miles NW of Denton. On FM 922 if you've ever ridden out here.
And thanks for the advice Stev-o. I figured on looking at the carbs first. The previous owner told me they had 120 main jets in the carbs, but the pipes are 341s. Didn't Honda install 110s with those pipes? Think i need to change em?

I'm ok there. Engine 105.... When did they start installing the (i assume) more restrictive 341 pipes? I think the original pipes on my bike would have been 300s. Yes?
