Hi! Sorry for not playing with you guys lately.
Still waiting for the doctors to decide am I fit to work or not.
As they took away my drivers licence it also messed up my racing plans insurance wise.
I was supposed to road race my friends Aermacchi-HD 350 but only tested it once.
Oh yeah and the sponsorship deal went south as well so no good news here.

Ok, so I got fired yesterday due to the earlier mentioned drivers license issue.
I also started working on the JMR-Suzuki and have a strict plan what to do.
My friend who is a real wizard of all things metal does some aluminum work etc.
Hoping to lose some weight off the bike and also trying to help the airflow to carbs, heat shield between the engine and carbs, new ignition, list goes on. Pics are coming to my Instagram but I'll try to post some here too.
Aiming for the 8's is the name of the game.

Ok, some oldskool weight reduction going on, includes sparks and a lot of noise  ;D
Have to remove as much of the unnecessary I can + add some bracing and keep the weight reasonable.
I have some Docol left from the swingarm project and I think we are gonna add some to the frame to reduce flex.
With the short wheelbase (1510mm or 59,4") I was used to the bike twisting a bit and bouncing back when I let the throttle go but now, with 4" more wheelbase it could become an issue.

I may have to ask someone to help me with Beasley Composites or some similar company, they refuse to answer to people from this side of the pond.

I just read the whole thing and I'm incredibly happy I wrote everything down when I still remembered what happened and when.
Got me thinking about all the hard work and effort Mike and Sam invested, not to mention the money, and to be honest it got me a bit emotional.

I was on this medication for most of this year and it was supposed to help me but I decided to toss it a few weeks ago, felt like sh1t at first but now I have energy to actually do stuff and have all these plans floating around in my head.

My friend is making CAD drawings of the new triple trees I want and we have big plans about a lot of things I want to try with the bike.

Rules have changed. Front suspension used to have a minimum travel of 50mm but now it's only 25mm.
Now I really need to get my rear shocks back from the shop and start measuring things again.

After talking to a couple of friends about racing, like we always do, we started talking about the possible sponsorship offered and also the possibility of gathering a few euros via crowdfunding. Being the introvert I am it sounded strange at first but I think we are gonna give it a go.

Cost to run a full Finnish Championship season has pretty much doubled in the past eight years I've been away but I'm ready to give it a shot anyway. I have two possible "big" sponsors I'm negotiating with and hopefully have some success.
I still have some pretty damn good stuff my huge supporters Mike Rieck and Sam Green provided last time around so the base is there.

We are not talking about a huge amount of money here, around 3500-4000$ and if I could get half of it from sponsors and some of the other half crowdfunding I have a good shot of running a full season and aiming to be the first sub-9 second streetbike-class racer in the country.
9,313 is my current record and like I said, there has been some rule changes and we didn't get the clutch right back in 2014, it's time to finally go back and kick some ass. Keeping the championship in mind naturally but trying to do a run no one in this particular class has done before.

Anyone here tried crowdfunding in motorsports?

1500cc, the same engine I had in this bike back in 2014. Hoping to run 8,999 at some point.

Reinforced starter clutch for my "old" engine, the 1327 goes in my good friends GS along with a few parts I previously used.
Jarmo decided to give drag racing yet another go, he has raced in drag racing since early 90's, road racing, ice speedway, Isle of Man, you name it, he has probably tried it. His latest thrill is classic trial on a Honda, what else  ;D .We split the cost to get straight cut primary gears, crank etc. and he races the engine for a season, after that the engine with all the parts in it are mine. He just wants to ride a sub 10 second time on a "streetbike".
Also pictured are the tools my other friend made me, used to mark valve centre point to piston when measuring radial valve to piston clearance. 5mm, 5,5mm and 6,5mm to cover my bikes  ;D

Thanks! This is the first version of the engine I raced in 2010 and 2011, later version had more compression and a different intake cam. There were also some suspension changes and different exhaust. 2012-13 version had 173hp at the wheel.

Gonna have this one dynoed soon as well but there are some differences again, this exhaust is from one of Finlands fastest Pro Stockers from back in the day and we are not using VP109 fuel this time. Hoping to see something around 160hp.
