750-k4 Camshaft holders
« on: December 13, 2015, 03:14:02 AM »
The camshaft holders are marked so that the caps gets in the right position. But the there are two camshaft holders one to the left, the other to the right of the engine. As far as I can see, they are not marked. Is there a way to find out which one that should be placed to left/right side of the engine? I got the engine in parts so I cant figure out how it was from the beginning.

The only way that I know of is if there are telltale signs.  Such as.
If you note which way the pivot shafts had the ends with the slot in it ..they go to the outside.
If any of the pucks stuck to the cradle you can use that
If any of the dowel pins are attached to the head and or cradle, you might be able to figure it out.
Other than that I think that they can be installed either way..tho' it is ideal to reinstall as removed....others may chime in.
