Bandit 1200
« on: December 11, 2015, 11:01:57 AM »
Since I sold my CB550 a couple of months ago I've been commuting more on my 2000 Bandit 1200. With an FMF titanium slip on pipe, modified air box lid, carbs rejetted and ignition advanced 5 degrees, it dynoed at 110 rear wheel horsepower and 75 ft. lbs. of torque (see dyno chart). With over 70 ft. lbs. of torque from 4000 to 8000 rpm it is a pleasure to ride and actually gets better gas mileage on my commute than my old CB550.

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Great bikes alright . Took a later model 1250 out not long ago. I would swap my beloved fj1200 for one.

Yep, I've ridden the 1250, really nice bike to ride... Actually, I'll be riding it again in a couple of weeks, sounds great with a full Yoshimura exhaust on it too... ;)

Is it as much fun as the first version was?

Its more refined Juha,  not as raw with fuel injection, so to us older guys, probably not, about the same power stock but about 10kgs heavier... ;D

Ok, a friend of mine had the first version of the B12, Öhlins rearshock and front springs. Nice ride.
Then he lost his mind or something and traded it in for a 1987 VS1400  :o
