Oil on new gasket
« on: December 12, 2015, 05:05:32 PM »
Maybe a stupid question here.
I'm working on getting the pistons into the jugs here and I was using some oil to lube it all up and I accidentally got a bunch on the base gasket. (I'm now going to use elastics to hold it to the jugs while I do it). I wiped the oil off, but will this cause sealing problems? The spill is in the thin section at the middle of the gasket where the cam chain is.

Thanks Bill,

That's all I wanted to hear before carrying on.

Cheers,
