New to motorcycles period
« on: December 22, 2015, 12:23:22 PM »
Hiii, just got my first bike and it wasn't perfect but I think I made it worse.

It's a cb350F in that basic red with noting special on it
Came with a Mac 4-1 (bummer)
I don't plan on keeping it original to all the og guys I know it will lose value but I want to build it my self and that'll be worth more to me
Looking forward to the responses

Just one thing that I hope someone can help me with real quick
So I was cleaning it a bit and removed the battery, when I put it back on I made sure not to switch sides and remove/connect the right wires first....I had my headlight remove at the time and when I went to go check to see if the lights would turn on they didn't. OK so I thought maybe the battery just need a lil juice so I took out the bike to go kick start when outside the neutral and oil lights came on before I kickstarted it so I figured the headlight being off had something to do with the turn signals being off still and put the problem aside in my head.....soo I got to start it anyways and it does but as usual its has a rough idle and I just try and keep it on a bit just so that it gets moving once in a while until  y helmet comes, its idles on and off until it won't turn back on then I noticed like an idiot I forgot to turn on the petcock so I turn it on and I could see gas rushing down and was like @#$% this thing had no gas in the carbs.... THE PROBLEM IS  now when ever I turn on the petcock gas immediately pours out I'm assuming are tubes for when it floods under each carb and its funny cause it'll only come out two of them and its the two on the opposite side of the kick stand. So I'm thinking the other two are clogged ...so did I ruin my bike already ? Nooob

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
